Security Controls Internship

Job summary:

Red Hat Security Engineering team is looking for candidate with a strong interest how modern applications work in various configurations for Fedora environments to help us with writing SELinux Security policies for these application and their concrete usage. It makes Fedora more secure and user friendly by mitigating new security threats as they arise. You will get familiar with the wole concept of SELinux and especially with SELinux Security Policies written in m4 and CIL languages and with SELinux Userspace Tooling written in C and Python. This work is based on the collaboration between various teams at Red Hat around the world. You will have a chance to work with skilled engineers every day.

Primary job responsibilities:

– Analyze and solve given tasks
– Bug fixes, Develop new features, help with root cause analysis
– Test newly added features

Required skills:

– Administrator level experience with Linux
– Student in an Information Technology related area
– C and Python basic programming skills
– Eager to continuously learn new technologies
– Scripting experience in Shell
– Communicative level of English
– Familiarity with open source projects
