Cameron Trotter

Cameron Trotter is a PhD student within the Cloud Computing for Big Data EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training scheme at Newcastle University. He has a background in Computing, previously being awarded an MComp degree in Computer Science, also from Newcastle.

Cameron’s research focuses on utilising computer vision and deep learning techniques to aid in conservation efforts, primarily focussing on the development of automatic photo-identification systems for use with marine cetacean populations.

Cameron co-wrote an overview of his research for Red Hat Research Quarterly, Volume 1:4.
