School Visits

May 24, 2020 | Israel, News

As part of our efforts to take part in projects for the community and sharing Red Hat’s vision, Doron Feduick and Irit Goihman from our Engineering team, started an outstanding project named Red Hat School Visit Program.

This program includes a monthly visit of about 30 high school students, (different schools and students every visit) to our office, giving them a preliminary explanation on Open source and the high tech industry in Israel.

These visits include various lectures by RH employees, round tables with employees from all departments- R&D, QE, Sales ext., a Lab visit and a Blue Jeans conference call with RH employees around the world.

In the Blue jeans calls, the Red Hatters share what working in Red Hat stands for and answer the students’ questions. As the Blue jeans calls are in English, the students realize that they must have a good command of English in order to work in the high tech industry.

This in itself may encourage them to learn English, an incentive we are of course happy to give.
