Abstract: Sherard Griffin shared experiences and strategies for open source AI that work in the real world. He provided insights into what customers need and how that relates to AI research challenges.
Speaker: Sherard Griffin was responsible for the development of Open Data Hub, a community-driven reference architecture for building and AI-as-a-service platform on OpenShift. He also leads engineering for Red Hat’s OpenShift AI products and services.
About the Collaboratory: A partnership between Red Hat and Boston University, the Red Hat Collaboratory connects BU faculty and students with industry practitioners working in open-source software communities. The Collaboratory aims to advance research focused on emerging technologies in a number of areas including operating systems, cloud computing services, machine learning and automation, and big data platforms.
